Woman’s body found in Pomona, homicide investigation launched – Press Enterprise

POMONA — A woman was found dead in Pomona on Saturday morning and an investigation was underway to find the person or persons responsible.

The woman was found unresponsive at 6:41 a.m. Saturday in the 900 block of West Holt Avenue, west of Hamilton Boulevard, according to Sgt. Blake Jensen of the Pomona Police Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Jensen said. Her name was not released.

Homicide detectives began a crime scene investigation, but the motive for the crime was not yet known, police said.

Anyone with information about the death was asked to call the Pomona Police Department at 909-620-2085 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
