…Did Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel get legal advice from Aaron McGruder? Because the scene where R. Kelly wins after singing for the jury is all I can think about while watching the Young Thug trial. Yesterday, Steel introduced not just the lyrics of the song “Lifestyle” into evidence, but the video as well:

I’m telling you, the R. Kelly comparison is right there. Given that Jeffrey’s argument is that YSL is merely a music group and not an actual gang, it makes sense that the evidence used would aim to cement a musical relationship between all of the parties involved rather than a criminal one. Still kind of odd to know that the video was played as part of a trial.
