Authorities searching for driver allegedly involved a fatal hit-and-run in Temecula – Press Enterprise

A man was found dead following a hit-and-run in Temecula, the California Highway Patrol said.

On Thursday, Nov. 9, at around 11:53 a.m., the CHP received a report regarding a possible body lying on the right shoulder of Rainbow Canyon Road just north of Rainbow Valley Blvd.

CHP officers found a man who had succumbed to his injuries, around the age of 65-75 years, on the right shoulder of Rainbow Canyon Road.

Authorities say the male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries caused by a vehicle, possibly a raised pickup truck, SUV, or van. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.

The CHP is seeking assistance from the public as to the whereabouts of the involved vehicle and driver.
