Here is a look at some of the top Inland high school football games for Friday, Oct. 13.

FRIDAY’S TOP GAMES
BASELINE LEAGUE
Etiwanda (6-2, 0-2) at Upland (5-2, 0-1), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Etiwanda looks to snap a two-game losing skid and needs a win to keep hope alive of securing an automatic playoff berth. The Eagles were held to season lows of seven points and 179 yards in last week’s loss to Rancho Cucamonga. Dermaricus Davis has thrown for 1,826 yards and 17 touchdowns, and Jaden Landrum tops the receivers with 41 receptions for 448 yards and five touchdowns. Justin Vail leads the defense with five sacks. Upland dropped its league opener to Damien and had a bye last week. Noah Sandoval has thrown for 1,312 yards and 14 touchdowns. Trestin Castro leads the team with six touchdown catches and also three interceptions on defense.
Prediction: Upland
BIG WEST CONFERENCE-LOWER DIVISION
Murrieta Mesa (2-5, 2-0) at Great Oak (4-3, 2-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Murrieta Mesa played a tough nonleague schedule and lost five straight games to open the season, but the Rams have rolled in their first two league games. Julian Silva threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns and added two more scores on the ground in last week’s 52-17 win over Temecula Valley. CJ Moran leads the Rams defense with 60 tackles, and Lance Vitte has registered seven sacks. Great Oak cruised to a 49-7 victory over Corona last week. JT Trevino leads the receivers with 39 receptions for 451 yards and two touchdowns. Ryder Smith is a factor on both sides of the ball. He leads the defense with 71 tackles and has scored six touchdown among 27 his carries. These programs split the league title last season, but Great Oak scored a 13-7 victory in the head-to-head meeting.

BIG WEST CONFERENCE-UPPER DIVISION
Chaparral (4-3, 0-2) at Murrieta Valley (6-1, 2-0)
IE Varsity info: Chaparral looks to rebound after back-to-back losses to Centennial and Vista Murrieta. Dash Beierly was a bright spot in last week’s game, as he passed for 364 yards and two touchdowns. Blake Lowe leads the defense with 70 tackles and two interceptions, and he caught six passes for 100 yards and a touchdown last week against Vista Murrieta. Murrieta Valley rolled to a 48-19 win over Norco last week, and the Nighthawks will be looking to set up a championship showdown with Centennial next week. Bear Bachmeier has thrown for 1,662 yards and 16 touchdowns, and Dorian Hoze leads the ground attack with 667 yards and 10 touchdowns. Ethan Adams leads the defense with 64 tackles.
Prediction: Murrieta Valley

CITRUS BELT LEAGUE
Cajon (5-2, 2-0) at Citrus Valley (4-3, 2-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: The winner of this game will have an inside track on claiming the league championship. Cajon has captured six consecutive CBL titles, and the Cowboys will put their 35-game league winning streak on the line Friday. Evan Powell has thrown for 990 yards and six touchdowns and added another five touchdowns on the ground. Ahamad Chapman leads the defense with four interceptions. Citrus Valley beat Cajon in the playoffs last season but seeks its first CBL win over the Cowboys. Dawson Martinez has accounted for eight touchdowns (five passing, three rushing) in two games behind center, and running back Dominic Douglas has scored a team-high eight touchdowns. Ricardo Barrios tops the defense with 96 tackles.
Prediction: Cajon
MIRAMONTE LEAGUE
Ganesha (6-1, 0-0) at Garey (2-5, 0-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Ganesha pulled out a 35-27 victory over Pomona last week, and the Giants will look to score another win over a crosstown rival this week. Ganesha quarterback Shamon Farley has tossed five touchdown passes and added seven scores on the ground. Jye Thomas and Khalil Randall are difference makers on both sides of the football for the Giants. Garey went 0-5 to start the season, but the Vikings have now won two straight. Alex Vaca leads the ground attack with 598 yards and four touchdowns, and David Davila has six touchdown receptions. Garey has won four straight games in the series and leads 16-4 since 2001.
Prediction: Ganesha
MOUNTAIN PASS LEAGUE
San Jacinto (4-3, 2-0) at Liberty (6-1, 2-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: The winner of this game becomes the instant favorite to win the league title. San Jacinto has won four straight MPL championships, and the Tigers bring a 20-game league winning streak into Friday’s game. Malachi Brown leads the way on offense with 1,067 rushing yards and 17 total touchdowns. Dillon Gresham is a multi-dimensional threat who has racked up 1,050 all-purpose yards and scored 10 times. Damere Coleman leads the defense with 53 tackles. Liberty has won three straight games, including a 48-13 victory over Citrus Hill last week. Eddie Smith scored a touchdown on offense, defense and special teams to lead the Bison. Quarterback Anthony Quinones and running back Andre Skelton are two more Liberty players to watch.
Prediction: San Jacinto
MOUNTAIN WEST LEAGUE
Bonita (6-1, 0-0) at Ayala (3-4, 0-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: The result of this game will play a big factor in determining this year’s league champion. Bonita bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 49-6 win over Sierra Vista last week. Freshman Daniel Mielke II has thrown for 1,395 yards and 13 touchdowns, while Jayden Montenegro has 1,024 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns. Noah Mikhail is one of the top linebackers in the area and leads the defense with 86 tackles. Ayala looks to rebound from a 42-13 loss to San Clemente last week. Marquis Monroe is one of the area’s best two-way players, having rushed for 962 yards and 14 touchdowns and picked off two passes on defense. Jeshua Hennerty leads the defense with 48 tackles.
Prediction: Ayala

SIERRA LEAGUE
Chino (6-1, 0-0) vs. Covina (6-1, 0-0) at Covina District Field, 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: These teams met last season in Week 10, with Covina cruising to a 49-27 victory. Chino has won five in a row, including a 46-7 victory over Claremont last week. The offense features the dynamic 1-2 punch of quarterback Diego Ogata and running back Nathan Blanco. Ogata has rushed for 911 yards and 12 touchdowns, and Blanco has added 750 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. Nathan Sena and Jacob Alvarado have three interceptions apiece for the Cowboys. Covina has won three straight, including a 48-8 victory over Montclair two weeks ago. Jake Duronslet has thrown for 1,255 yards and 15 touchdowns and added four scores on the ground. Adrian Rachel leads the receivers with seven touchdown catches.

SKYLINE LEAGUE
San Gorgonio (6-1, 2-0) at Arroyo Valley (6-1, 2-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: The winner here grabs sole possession of first place in the league standings. San Gorgonio has scored 55 points in each of its first two league games. Payton Clark has thrown for 1,387 yards and 18 touchdowns, while Dillon Carolina has scored 11 total touchdowns for the Spartans. Zyon Crawford and John Rubio each have 65 tackles to lead the defense. Arroyo Valley has rattled off six straight wins and scored 36 points in each of its first two league games. Ronald Weathers leads the ground attack for the Hawks with 1,218 yards and 19 total touchdowns. Tukutau Tupouata tops the defense with four sacks.

SUNKIST LEAGUE
Eisenhower (6-1, 0-0) at Jurupa Hills (3-4, 0-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Eisenhower looks to bounce back after suffering its first loss of the season to Kaiser. Daniel Ruiz has thrown for 1,159 yards and 17 touchdowns. Dashaun Benton is the favored target in the passing game, as he leads all Inlands receivers with 834 yards and 13 touchdowns. Bernardo Blanco is the team’s leading rusher (405 yards) and top tackler (53). Jurupa Hills capped its nonleague schedule with a 40-21 victory over Carter last week. Caleb Ruiz has thrown for 1,030 yards and nine touchdowns and added eight scores on the ground. Daniel Maccharles leads the defense with 47 tackles.
