Henry Shapiro Named a 40 Under Forty Honoree

MELVILLE, NY (December 6, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Henry S. Shapiro has been named a 40 Under Forty honoree by Long Island Business News. Henry is a principal in the firm’s Long Island office. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, assisting clients in achieving their business goals by regularly providing preventive counseling, conducting internal investigations, managing labor relations, and offering support in employment litigation. Henry also regularly practices traditional labor law. He works with clients across all industries in areas such as collective bargaining, labor arbitration, contract administration and representation and unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.

Additionally, Henry conducts management training seminars on topics including maintaining a union-free environment, equal employment opportunity, avoiding discrimination and sexual harassment and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, FMLA and New York Paid Family Leave Benefits Law. When training, he particularly enjoys interacting with the attendees and working through real issues they’ve faced in their workplaces to help achieve better solutions in the future. Henry also litigates employment disputes regarding discrimination, harassment and retaliation before the EEOC and the New York State Division of Human Rights and is well-versed in all forms of alternate dispute resolution. He enjoys working together with clients to help achieve practicable solutions that allow them to effectively run their business while simultaneously mitigating legal risk.
