Lake Elsinore man arrested on suspicion of killing woman in Sage – Press Enterprise

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of killing a woman at residence in Sage on Saturday, Oct. 21, authorities said.

The victim was found inside a home in the 42200 block of Alexander Drive around 5 p.m. on Saturday after deputies received a report about a possible dead body at the residence, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The victim had suffered from traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was identified as 28-year-old Autumn Wilkins, a resident of Sage, a rural community south of Hemet.

A suspect was later identified and on Sunday, David Douglas was arrested at a business in Hemet.

Douglas, a Lake Elsinore resident, was booked on suspicion of killing Wilkins and attempted murder, authorities said.
